Ada Roberta “Bobbie” Addison Havener

Ada Roberta “Bobbie” Addison Havener was born in Mobile, Alabama, on April 28, 1943, and passed peacefully into her heavenly home on September 28, 2026.

Ada was the daughter of Thomas Addison and Elizabeth Linkus Addison. She grew up in Tampa, Florida, where she attended Plant High School. She later attended the University of Tampa, earning her bachelor’s degree, and went on to attend the University of Tennessee, leading to her master’s degree in education.

Ada began her teaching career in Virginia, where she met the love of her life, David Lee Havener, whom she later married. Through David’s employment, they traveled abroad and experienced many different cultures. Ada especially enjoyed Japan, where she learned some of the language and acquired beautiful decorations for her home.

Ada and David moved to Pearl River, Louisiana, where they built their life together and where Ada began her career in real estate. After David’s passing, Ada eventually settled in Slidell, Louisiana, where she continued working as a professional Realtor. During the last few years of her life, she lived with her sister in Sarasota, Florida.

Affectionately known as Bobbie, Ada enjoyed many activities, including tennis and bridge. She treasured the relationships she built throughout her life and will be remembered for the love she shared with her family and friends.

Ada was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Elizabeth Addison; her brother, Tommy Addison; her nephew, Benjamin Thomas Dean; and her beloved husband, David Lee Havener.

She is survived by her sister, Janet E. Addison Dean; her nephew, William Addison Dean; and his wife, Jan R. Dean.
