Ana Guadalupe Brugal

Ana Guadalupe Brugal, born on December 12, 1938, in Santiago de Cuba, passed away on October 29, 2026. A loving mother, caring grandmother, and devoted wife, Ana's life was a testament to the power of compassion and dedication.

Ana found immense joy in sharing her culinary talents and spending precious moments with her grandchildren. Her love for the beach, literature, and spiritual beliefs provided her with a sense of peace and fulfillment. Later in life, Ana embarked on a successful career in sales, earning numerous accolades and touching the lives of many with her resilience and grace.

Her remarkable ability to care for others will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Ana's strength and determination were always evident, and she inspired those around her to seek happiness and lead rewarding lives. Her enduring support and belief in the potential of her loved ones left an indelible mark on their hearts.

She is survived by her children, Julio, Emilio, and Mercy Masrua, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Britney and Chris Estrada. Her beloved life partner, Jose Luis Garcia, her sisters Magda Fernandez and Mercedita Amerousso, and her brother Frank Brugal also mourn her passing. Ana’s family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Advent Health ICU in Lake Underhill, particularly nurses Rosa and Gabriella, for their compassionate care.

Ana had a profound attachment to her Cuban homeland but found an even deeper love for Puerto Rico. Her decision to move to the United States was a significant testament to her love for her family, as she sought to support her grandchildren's upbringing. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Dementia Society of America. Her legacy of love and strength will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
