Bonnie LaRue Main
Bonnie LaRue Main, 94, passed away on April 4, 2026, leaving a legacy of compassion, love, and devotion. Born on October 20, 1931, in Archbold, OH, Bonnie’s life was defined by her steadfast faith in God and her wholehearted embrace of family. She was the first to arrive for a school play, a game, or a road trip—always ready to join any function or journey that brought loved ones together. Those who knew her will remember a woman whose presence made every room warmer, whose loyalty never wavered, and whose quiet strength anchored generations.
Bonnie was a woman of few words, and her actions spoke louder than any words she could speak. She cheered faithfully for her favorite football teams, found joy in the speed and spectacle of NASCAR racing, and delighted in travel that widened her world and knit her family closer together. Whether gathered around a television on Sunday afternoons, mapping the next trip, or simply sharing an unhurried meal, Bonnie made ordinary moments feel like occasions. Her kindness was steady, her humor gentle, and her devotion unmistakable. She modeled generosity without fanfare, hospitality without fuss, and a resilient hope rooted in her faith—guiding lights that shaped the people who loved her.
Bonnie’s greatest pride was her family. She is survived by her son, David (Janie) Main; her daughter, Cindy (Dave) Jeffries; and her cherished grandchildren, Leslie McRae and John (Christy) Main. She also leaves great-grandchildren Peyton McLane, Kyleyah McRae, and Kyrese McRae; and great-great-grandchildren Makai, Malayah, Elijah, and Elias. She is further remembered with love by several nieces and nephews, each carrying a piece of her gentle spirit forward.
A celebration of Bonnie’s life will be held in Haines City, FL, at a date to be determined. Family and friends will be invited to gather, share stories, and honor a life lived with grace, faith, and steadfast affection. In the days ahead, may memories of her ready smile, her unfailing support, and her quiet courage bring comfort. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love, sympathies, and prayers from a multitude of family and friends. Each one has helped us to be strong during this time. May Bonnie’s legacy of love, devotion, and faith continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
