Charles H O’Hara, 82, passed away on May 22, 2026. Born on April 25, 1944, in Sudbury, Charles built a life defined by devotion to his family, steadfast honesty, and a wit that brightened the everyday moments. To those who knew him best, he was loving, honest, and endlessly witty—qualities that shaped every role he held, from husband and father to coach and friend.

Chuck, as he was known to many, had a deep passion for family, boating, and travel. Whether spending time on the water or exploring new places, he was happiest when surrounded by the people he loved most. He was especially proud of his 58-year marriage to his beloved wife, Cindy—a partnership rooted in loyalty, laughter, and enduring commitment. Chuck also gave generously of his time to his community by coaching and refereeing hockey, guiding young athletes with fairness and integrity. He was known for his humor and gift for storytelling, often sharing tales that left those around him smiling. Through it all, he was a reliable presence—someone others could count on without hesitation.

His family was the center of his world. He cherished his wife Cindy, his daughters Gillian Campbell and Corinne Welch, and his grandchildren Jared, Justin, Kara, and Kyle. The time he spent with them, whether in quiet conversation or lively gatherings, meant everything to him. If he could be remembered for one thing, it would be that honesty was his best virtue. He lived simply and sincerely, often reassuring those he loved with his familiar words, “Don’t You Worry About Me.”

As we gather to honor and remember the life of our beloved Chuck O'Hara, our family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has surrounded us with love, prayers, kindness, and support during this difficult time. We extend a special thank you to the hospice team whose compassion, care, and dedication brought comfort and peace not only to our loved one, but to our entire family throughout this journey. Your kindness will never be forgotten. To our family and friends, thank you for your prayers, comforting words, visits, meals, calls, and continued support. Your presence has given us strength and reminded us how deeply loved Chuck truly was. As we say goodbye, we hold onto the cherished memories, laughter, and love that will remain in our hearts forever. We ask that you continue to keep our family in your thoughts and prayers in the days ahead. May God bless each of you for your kindness and support.
