Charles H O’Hara

Charles (Chuck) O’Hara, 82 passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on May 22nd, 2026.

Charles is survived by his wife Cindy of 58 loving years, daughters, Gillian Campbell (Michael), Corinne Welch (Patrick) ,Grandchildren: Jared Carl (Haley), Kara Welch, Justin Dorociak, Kyle Welch and many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by his brother Robert O’Hara and sister Judith Dempsey.

Chuck was born and raised in Copper Cliff, Ontario, Canada, where he spent his younger years.

Chuck embraced his northern roots by playing hockey, skiing and loved snowmobiling which he enjoyed with his family, in the Canadian summer, he loved boating, fishing and water skiing.

Chuck started his career in the automobile industry and worked many years at Mid North Motors in Sudbury, Ontario and then later worked as a supervisor at General Motors of Canada.

In 1988, as a family, they made the decision to move to Sarasota, Florida.

Chuck loved the sunshine and beaches and could never get enough of the Sarasota sunsets!

Chuck loved being a Canadian and also embraced being an American resident. Chuck lived the rest of his years making memories as a devoted husband, dad, Papa and Uncle.

Chuck had a fulfilling life, always with a smile and a joke…..he will be deeply missed!
