Christopher H. Hillios
In loving memory of Christopher H. Hillios
Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Inventor
Christopher “Chris” H. Hillios, 79, passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on June 1, 2025. May his memory be eternal.
Born to the late Harry H. Hillios and Lydia (Kowal) Hillios. Chris was predeceased by his beloved brother, Melvin Hillios, and his sister, Elaine S. Smethurst.
Chris is survived by his devoted wife of nearly forty years, Sonia R. Hillios (Gingras), who was his partner in love, life, and adventure. He also leaves behind his three children: Angela R. Carroll of Cape Cod, Laura K. Ziomek of Southampton, MA, and Christopher G. Hillios of Salisbury, MA. His legacy lives on through his cherished grandchildren, Cameron Ziomek and Seneca R. Hillios.
He is also lovingly remembered by his cousin and dear friend, Stewart T. Hillios, along with several nieces, nephews, and many others whose lives he touched. Chris will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Chris was always quick with a smile. He loved connecting with people and finding innovative ways to solve problems—his mind was always at work. A serial inventor and successful entrepreneur, he had an unmatched passion for pursuing new ideas and ventures.
Life with Chris was anything but ordinary. He and Sonia shared a love for travel, especially to the Caribbean, where they made many memories together. He also found great joy in restoring and showing classic cars, proudly winning numerous trophies over the years for his craftsmanship and dedication.
Chris was also a devoted dad to his beloved rescue cats—Kota, Kitsu, and Nikki—and his parrot, Lucas. His deep love for animals was a reflection of his kind and compassionate heart.
Chris’s life was filled with love, laughter, and ingenuity. Though he has departed this world, his spirit lives on in the many lives he touched and the legacy he leaves behind.
Christopher was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.
A celebration of Chris’s life will be held at the family’s convenience. Friend sand family are invited to visit his memorial page on Facebook for updates.
