Dana Lynn Malcom, born on July 15, 1960, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away on September 13, 2026. A beloved figure known for his storytelling and sharp sense of humor, Dana's presence will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Dana's kindness, charisma, and humor were the hallmarks of his character and left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His passion for music, cars, and the outdoors kept him vibrant and engaged, sharing many joyful memories with friends and family. His remarkable ability to spin a tale made any gathering brighter, captivating audiences with wit and warmth. He worked for The Lakeland Ledger Newspaper in the press room for 10 years and loved seeing the news before those waiting for their newspaper. His second act was truck driver for a few construction companies. He also loved riding motorcycles.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the dedicated staff and hospice nurses at Lakeland Regional Health for their compassionate care. They are also grateful to all who were part of Dana's life and cherished him as much as he cherished them. He is survived by a daughter, a sister, three nieces and one nephew.
