Danielle Andree Schleppi, beloved for her spirit and a heart that made room for everyone, passed away on March 13, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on July 25, 1949, in Centre, Pennsylvania, Danielle lived a life that was, in every sense, personable, happy, and lovable—three words that so many who knew her would offer without hesitation.

Raised in a proud military family, Danielle’s early years included time in Japan and, as a teenager, near Frankfurt, Germany—experiences that widened her world and deepened her empathy. She cultivated passions that kept her moving and curious: reading widely, bicycling and exercising with zeal, and embracing snow skiing, boating, and waterskiing with characteristic gusto. Above all, she had a lifelong love for The Rolling Stones, the soundtrack to countless memories and miles. Quick-witted and singular, Danielle coined her own playful vocabulary—“mungle” and “kookalauden” among many others—expressions that became family lore. Her charitable giving reflected a quiet generosity, and her circle of lifelong friends testified to the loyalty and warmth that defined her. She met the world with a dazzling smile—those remarkable natural teeth became a calling card—and with a favorite reminder, “Never two without three,” her way of finding both humor and meaning in life’s turns. A treasured family story captured her joyful mischief: years after keeping a boat at Bay Point Marina on Lake Erie, she and her loved ones stopped by the marina’s kiosk at the Cleveland boat show and casually mentioned their red Jeep Grand Cherokee—only to be met with instant recognition: “Oh my God, you’re the people with the red Cherokee!” It was classic Danielle—memorable, spirited, and loved wherever she went.

Danielle is survived by her husband, Robert F. Schleppi; her devoted sisters, Caroline Colarusso and Elizabeth McGuiness; her brother John Baylin Jr.; and dear friends who were like family: Cinda Nichols, Bea Witt, Anne Marie Crumbaker, and Dave Cornelius. She leaves behind a constellation of lifelong friends, each carrying a story bright with her laughter, kindness, and singular charm.

Danielle will be remembered for an effervescent personality that filled rooms and hearts, for friendships that endured, and for the joy she so freely shared. In lieu of a funeral or memorial, the family asks: take a moment and remember a good time that you shared with Danielle; we are sure there are many. May her memory be a blessing and a spur to live with the same warmth, courage, and delight she brought to every day.
