David Anthony Gonzalez, Jr.

David Anthony Gonzalez, Jr., 47, of Clearwater, FL, passed away on September 27, 2025. Born on July 28, 1978, at Yokota Air Force Base in Japan, David will be remembered as an animated, warm, and outgoing man who brought energy and joy to every room he entered.

David’s greatest achievement and deepest source of pride was becoming a father to his beloved son, Liam. His life revolved around sharing moments, conversations, and, most often, meals with those he loved.

A true food enthusiast and hot sauce connoisseur, David had a passion for finding great food—from taco trucks to hole-in-the-wall diners. He especially loved introducing others to his favorite Chinese spot, often animatedly explaining the wok hei cooking method and how it created such flavorful dishes. His adventurous palate and infectious excitement for good meals made every outing with him memorable.

David was best known for his easy way of striking up conversations with anyone, anywhere. His friendly, talkative nature made strangers feel like friends, and friends feel like family.

He is survived by his cherished son, Liam, who will carry forward his father’s love, laughter, and stories.

If remembered for one thing, it would be David’s passion for food and people, and his gift for making every encounter feel like a shared adventure.
