David B. Childers

David B. Childers, age 72, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on July 7, 2026, in Dade City, Florida.

David loved his family. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, devotion, and cherished memories that will continue through the generations.

He is survived by his loving wife, Java Sue; his daughters, Sandra Taylor of San Antonio, Stacey McGuire of San Antonio, Sherry Beverly (Billy) of Dade City, and Cyndi Shaffer (John) of Lakeland; his sister-in-law, Debra McDonald of Dade City. He was preceded in death by his son, Billy Gene Childers.

David was also blessed with seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, all of whom brought him great pride and joy.

David was a well-known and respected local business owner in Dade City, where he owned and operated Stalnakers. He took great pride in his work and was dedicated to serving his clientele, many of whom became lifelong friends. He was known for his strong work ethic, kind heart, and willingness to help others.

His memory will be treasured by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. Though he will be deeply missed, his love, guidance, and the values he instilled will remain with those who knew him best.
