

Debra Jean “Debbie” Conrad
Debra Jean “Debbie” Conrad, a loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026.
Debbie was born on November 10, 1955, in Chattahoochee, Florida, and was raised in Sarasota, Florida. Easygoing and peaceful, she was a true free spirit whose gentle presence brought comfort to those around her. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures and especially treasured spending time with her friends and family.
Debbie was a Christian whose faith was rooted in her belief in Jesus Christ.
Debbie is lovingly survived by her mother, Alice Flick, and her devoted sister, Faye LaPointe. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Shaw.
Debbie’s greatest joy was the family she loved so dearly, including her six children: Jon Henderson and his wife, Victoria, of Tallahassee, Florida; Angela King and her husband, Eric King, of Bradenton, Florida; Olivia Conrad and her fiancé, Wayne Charles; William Conrad; Emily Conrad; and Brigham Conrad, all of Sarasota, Florida.
She is deeply loved by her grandchildren: Alyssa Catarzi and her wife, Caroline Catarzi; Arielle Shipman and her husband, Austin Shipman; Lauren DeBrosse and her husband, Austin DeBrosse; Ryan Morris; Shane Johnson; Lydia Tilka; Vidar DeSabatino; Jera DeSabatino; William Conrad; Michael Conrad; and Vaughn Conrad.
Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Landyn Windham, Luella DeBrosse, Faylynn Lane, Izabella Shipman, and Colton Hezlep; her great-granddaughter, Juliet DeBrosse, who is expected in December; and her great-great-grandchild, Aurora Turner.
Debbie was preceded in death by her husband, Earles Conrad; her father, Jimmy Shaw; her sister, Peggy Shaw; and her brothers, Philip Shaw and James Shaw.
A private service honoring Debbie’s life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers or donations, Debbie’s family kindly asks that you hug someone you love and perform an act of kindness in her honor. In doing so, her peaceful and loving spirit will continue to touch the lives of others.
