Eddie Kendall Garrett II

Eddie Kendall Garrett II passed away on June 12, 2025, at the age of 71. He will be remembered for his musical gifts, sense of humor, and thoughtful spirit. Eddie brought laughter, insight, and creativity wherever he went, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to resonate with all who knew him.

Music was at the heart of Eddie’s life. He was a gifted songwriter and composer who wrote and released numerous albums over the years. His work touched many and served as an expression of his deep spirit and love for connection. He was most at peace when immersed in music, reflecting, or spending quiet time walking and studying the Bible.

A proud United States Marine, Eddie carried the strength, discipline, and quiet confidence of his service throughout his life. He was also a man of faith, a member of the Baptist church, and approached life with humility and purpose. His favorite saying – “It is what it is” – captured his grounded approach to life’s ups and downs and his strength in the face of them.

Eddie is survived by his significant other, Barbara, his brothers, Steve and Joe, and his sister, Judy. They, along with many others, will remember Eddie for his kind heart, clever humor, and the music that meant so much to him – and to them.

His life was a song uniquely his own, and his memory will continue to play on in the hearts of those who loved him.
