Gregory Arno Anderson, 77, passed away on January 31, 2026. Born on October 25, 1948, in Frankfort, Michigan, Greg was a U.S. Navy veteran, a devoted husband for 53 years, and a proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Caring, knowledgeable, and passionate, he was known for his storytelling, quick humor, and a loving nature that made everyone feel welcome. His life was defined by integrity, devotion to family, and a steady joy in simple, enduring pursuits.

Greg’s early years in Frankfort instilled in him a love of hard work and a respect for service. He carried that spirit into the Navy, where he took great pride in the places he traveled and the people he met—memories he loved to share through stories and photographs. Not long after returning home, love found him on a blind date with Denise; they married shortly thereafter and began a partnership marked by unwavering loyalty, laughter, and everyday grace. Greg’s hands were rarely idle—he found deep satisfaction in woodworking, shaping pieces that were as useful as they were beautiful. He was equally at home beneath tall pines and starry skies, happiest when camping with family, or lost in a good book that fed his curiosity. In all things, Greg led with patience, kindness, and a generous spirit that put others first.

Greg is survived by his beloved wife, Denise Anderson; his children, son Keith Anderson, and daughter Sheila Gaitan and her husband, Julio; six grandchildren—Julio, Anthony, Jacquelyn, Tyler, Kaydin, and Cheyanne; and five great-grandchildren who brought him immense pride and joy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arno and Patricia Anderson, and his sisters, Tamina Gumm and Elyse Foutz. For all who knew him, Greg’s legacy lives on in the sturdy things he built, the stories that still make us smile, and the warmth he shared so freely.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be announced. In remembrance of Greg, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Above all, Greg will be remembered for the steadfast love he had for his wife and family—a love that guided his steps, shaped his days, and remains a lasting gift to those he leaves behind.
