Helen Irene Bennett
Helen Irene Bennett, 84, died on August 3, 2026. She was born on April 30, 1942, in Brookline, Massachusetts. Known lovingly as “Mimi,” Helen built her life around the people she cherished most and will be remembered above all as a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother.
Family was the center of Helen’s world. She was most known for being a loving grandmother, a steady and joyful presence whose pride in her family was evident in everything she did. To those closest to her, she was simply the greatest grandma — a title she earned through years of patience, warmth, and unwavering support. Her love extended across generations, and she was deeply loved in return by all her survivors.
Helen found simple pleasures in life and embraced them wholeheartedly. She had a particular fondness for playing Scrabble and never turned down a lively game of bingo. Whether gathered around a table spelling out words or waiting for the next number to be called, she enjoyed the companionship and lighthearted competition that came with those moments. These small traditions became treasured memories for her family, woven into the fabric of their time together.
If Helen could be remembered for one thing, it would be the love she gave so freely to her family. Her legacy lives on in the generations who knew her as Mimi and in the countless quiet acts of kindness that defined her life. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her memory to St. Jude’s, honoring a spirit of care and compassion that reflected her own.
