Howard Powhatan Yeaman
Howard Powhatan Yeaman, born on December 19, 1967, in Redwood City, California, passed away on October 15, 2026 in Sarasota, Florida. Known for his adventurous spirit, calming presence, and loving nature, Howard lived a life full of joy and exploration.
A man of diverse passions, Howard found immense joy in scuba diving, watching football (Go Cards!) and being by the ocean. He was most at peace near the water and his spontaneous move to the U.S. Virgin Islands with Shanna became a defining chapter of his life. There, he embraced the island lifestyle, immersed himself in the beauty of the sea, and braved hurricanes with courage, turning dreams into reality and adventures into cherished memories.
Despite his health challenges, Howard remained positive, always striving to create the best life possible for himself and Shanna.
Howard will be fondly remembered by his love Shanna, his son Devin, his sister Jennifer, ALL of his many friends and family in Arizona, Florida, the Virgin Islands and everywhere in between. His unique ability to calm those around him, lend a listening ear, and fill his days with happiness and laughter made a lasting impact on everyone he encountered. His humor and genuine smile were his trademarks, leaving a warm legacy that will endure in the hearts of all who knew him.
His family extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone who stood by Howard, offering love and unwavering support. Your kindness will always be deeply appreciated and fondly remembered. As Howard often said, "Don't worry...everything will be okay."
