James Thomas Nash, born October 29, 1940, in Lexington, Kentucky, passed away on September 13, 2026. Known for his jovial spirit, James filled every room with laughter through his funny and outgoing personality. His life was a vibrant tapestry of stories and experiences, and those who knew him cherished his kind heart and infectious smile.

James was a man of varied passions. Deeply rooted in his faith, he found belonging at the Catholic Church of Lake Wales. His love for coin collecting kept him engaged, constantly on the hunt for rare finds to add to his collection. Perhaps most notably, James was known for his dedication to his work at Walmart, a place where he would have gladly offered his time for free, embodying a true passion for service and camaraderie with his extensive Walmart family.

Family was central to James's life. He cherished the company of his daughters, Terri, Robin, Carrie Joe, and Cindy, his sister Patti, and his beloved grandchildren: Andrew, Brittani, Blake, Tiffany, Olivia, and Austin. His love extended to his great-grandchildren Jacob, Arya, Mila, Emma, and Luas, as well as his nieces, nephews, and their families. His heart further expanded to include his cherished cousins, the Schiavone family, in Louisville, and his friends at Camp Tiger. James shared many light-hearted moments at Dunkin Donuts with Amanda and her team, savoring his daily sweet tea and coconut donut, and was especially fond of his dog, Keeta.

When interviewed and asked by his granddaughter Brittani, if you could live life again, what would advice would you give? Dad's reply was "Live the best life I can without hurting anyone!" This bit of wisdom characterized his approach to life, underscoring his reputation for leaving a profound impact through his kindness and storytelling.

The family would like to thank all the caregivers from Advent Hospital and The Donna Soners Hospice House for giving him the best care and making him feel comfortable in his final days. Thank you to the staff at Clearview Creation for making the difficult process much easier.
