Jay was known for his love of western movies, fishing, and playing the piano, where he found happiness and peace. His dedication to his country was unwavering, evident through his military service, which he held as a significant life achievement. A member of the Christian fellowship, Jay carried his faith with humility and grace.
Those who cherished Jay the most include his wife DeAnn, who was the love of his life, and his brother Dennis, with whom he shared countless memories. Jay's loyalty extended to his beloved dogs, Bailey and Pepper, who were constant companions in his journey. Even while facing the challenges of illness, Jay’s thoughtfulness shone through when he took DeAnn to witness the beauty of fireflies in the park, a gesture that epitomized his caring nature.
A favorite saying of his was, "Wherever you go, there you are," capturing his grounded and sincere approach to life. Jay will be remembered for his unwavering dedication as a husband and the warmth he brought into his relationships.
