Jeanette Rose Malocsay, affectionately known to many as a loving mother and devoted friend, passed away on October 7, 2026. Born on June 15, 1935, in Mankato, Minnesota, Jeanette graced the world with her audacious spirit, sassy demeanor, and a heart full of warmth for 91 vibrant years.

Jeanette’s life was a tapestry of colorful threads, woven together through her passions for sewing, reading, crocheting, and knitting. Her hands were rarely still, whether creating handmade gifts or comforting those she loved. Known for her delightful sense of humor and caring attitude, she never hesitated to offer a helping hand to those in need. Jeanette’s life was a testament to treating others with kindness and letting everything else go, a philosophy she shared freely with those around her.

A dedicated graduate, Jeanette took great pride in earning her high school diploma, a milestone that underscored her commitment to self-improvement and lifelong learning. Her family, however, was her greatest achievement. She cherished the roles of mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, nurturing her family with love and tenderness. Her presence was a constant source of joy, whether she was sharing a laugh or simply listening with empathy.

A member of the Lutheran church and a supporter of the ASPCA, Jeanette’s faith and compassion extended beyond her family to her community and beloved pets—Leylia, Daffy, and Honey Bunny—who added joy to her days. Her ability to connect with others was remarkable, as she often matched the energy and age of those around her, keeping her forever young at heart.

Jeanette is survived by her children Regina and Dave Muir, Shawna and Keith Morgan, Scott, Kae, and Blakely Muir; grandchildren Therisa and Tom Stack, Tabitha Beard, Anna Beard, Zoe and Daxton McAdams, and Maxine Beard and her partner Chis. She is also remembered by her brother Jarold and his wife Delores Weber, along with numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Vitas Healthcare for their support during this time.
