Jerome Francis Weingart
Jerome Francis Weingart, 68, of Ellenton, Florida, passed away on June 19, 2026. Born on January 15, 1958, in New Brunswick, Jerome built a life grounded in devotion to his family and in the simple pleasures that brought him joy. He will be remembered as a loving, caring, and kind man whose steady presence meant so much to those around him.
Jerome was, above all, a hardworking family man. He took pride in providing for and standing by the people he loved and was known for his dedication to both family and friends. Whether he was strumming his guitar or spending a quiet day fishing, he found peace and happiness in life’s unhurried moments. Music and time on the water were among his greatest passions, offering him space to reflect and recharge. Those who knew him best will remember his honesty and the way he lived by the simple principle he often shared: "Treat others the way you want to be treated." It was more than a saying to him; it was the way he conducted his life.
The most important people in Jerome’s world were his beloved wife, Debra Weingart, and his sons, Jerome "Jerry" Weingart Jr. and Christopher Weingart. His love for them was constant and unwavering. He was dedicated to his family in every sense—present, supportive, and always ready to lend a hand or a listening ear. His strength of character and quiet integrity shaped the home he built with them and the relationships he cherished.
Jerome is survived by his loving wife, Debra; his sons, Jerome Jr. and Christopher; his sister, Marilyn Muoio, and brother-in-law, Jim Muoio; his sister-in-law, Elizabeth Weingart; his sister-in-law, Karen Arway, and brother-in-law, Scott Arway; his sister-in-law, Grace Perrotta, and brother-in-law, Fred Perrotta; his mother-in-law, Susan Kofsy; his nephews, John, Robert, and Tyler; his nieces, Sandy, Melissa, and Haley; their loved ones and children; as well as many cousins and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Kathleen Weingart; his brother, William Weingart; and his father-in-law, Frederick Perrotta.
A memorial service will be held at Saint Frances X. Cabrini Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations in Jerome’s honor to Tidwell Hospice in Bradenton, Florida, which can be made here: http://tidewellfoundation.org, as well as to the American Cancer Society, which can be made here: https://donate.cancer.org/?campaign=default
Jerome will be remembered for his honesty, his devotion to family, and the steady love he gave so freely to those fortunate enough to know him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
