Jill Glespen

Jill Anne Glespen of Sarasota, formerly of Bergen County, NJ, died suddenly at home on November 18th at the age of 66.

Born in Niagara Falls, New York, Jill spent most of her adult life in Bergen County. She was a graduate of Holy Trinity School in Hackensack, Hackensack High School and Saint Peter’s University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Human Resources Summa cum laude.

Before relocating to Florida from New Jersey in 1999, Jill worked as a paralegal and office manager in Ramsey, and in the HR department of Simon & Schuster, Inc. In Upper Saddle River.

Jill worked in the Financial Services Department of the Sarasota County school system for over eleven years. She had also worked for Mooers Branton & Co. in Sarasota.

A devout Catholic, Jill was active in her various parishes in Sarasota as well as in New Jersey serving as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist.

Her friends and family will miss her beautiful smile, her raucous laugh, her warmth and generosity, and her optimistic nature.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Suzanne Glespen and brother-in-law, Joseph Kopriva, of Paris, France and her cousins: Chet and Patsy Daubert of Port St Lucie, FL; Daun and Michael D’Anci of Littleton, CO; Stewart Boyle of Olympia WA; Lauren Schulz of Hayes, VA; and Joseph and Katherine Schulz of Glouster Point, VA.

A private ceremony will be held for the family.
