JoAnn Quiros-Martinez
JoAnn Quiros-Martinez, 65, died on August 3, 2026. She was born on August 17, 1960, in the Bronx, New York. Throughout her life, JoAnn carried with her the spirit and resilience of her New York roots, along with a warmth and humor that left a lasting impression on those who knew her.
JoAnn built a proud career as a Mechanic Supervisor at American Airlines, a role that reflected her dedication, skill, and strong work ethic. She formed close bonds with those she worked alongside, and her colleagues were among the most important people in her life. Known for being funny, kind, and a true animal lover, JoAnn found joy in simple pleasures—sharing good food, going out with friends, and spending time with the animals she adored. She had a unique way of expressing herself; as her family fondly recalls, conversations with her could sometimes feel like a lively game of Pictionary. Yet beneath the laughter was a woman whose meaning was always clear: she cared deeply. She often signed off with her trademark words, “luv luv,” a simple phrase that perfectly captured her affectionate heart.
Family was central to JoAnn’s life. She cherished her relationship with her sister and brother-in-law and treated her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children. Her love for them was steady and unmistakable. She also shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Riley, who brought her companionship and comfort.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Precision Radiation/Oncology, the staff at Sanitas, and all those who visited JoAnn in her final days. She will be remembered for her humor, her loyalty to those she loved, and the quiet, steadfast kindness that defined her life.
