John Joseph Rich, Sr.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of John Joseph Rich, Sr., who departed this world on February 28, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on November 15, 1958, in Kansas City, Missouri, John lived a life filled with adventure, dedication, and kindness.

John was known for his unwavering honesty, loyalty, and perfectionism. He found joy in riding his Harley Davidson trike, working in his shop, and connecting with people from all walks of life. His storytelling and sense of adventure made every conversation with him unforgettable.

One of his proudest achievements was marrying the love of his life, Susan, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond. She was his world, and their love was a testament to a lifetime of devotion. John was also a dedicated member of the Harley Owners Group and the USCCA, sharing his passions with a close-knit community.

John often spoke of his philosophy on life, saying, "I want to build a life where I don’t have to leave to go on vacation." He truly lived by these words, finding fulfillment in the life he built and the people he surrounded himself with.

His work ethic was unmatched, exemplified by a time when he worked non-stop for 24 hours to build 24 blackjack tables for a high-profile client. His dedication and craftsmanship left a lasting impression, just as he did on everyone he met.

John will be remembered most for his ability to bring people together, his generosity, and his warmth. He made new friends everywhere he went, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and adventure.

John is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Susan. He is survived by his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
