Jose Ramon Yanez
Jose Ramon Yanez, devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully in Miami, Florida, on May 1, 2026, at the age of 68. He was surrounded by his loved ones in his final moments.
Born in Havana, Cuba, on March 29, 1958, Jose’s life was defined by his role as a tireless provider. He possessed a natural curiosity and a mischievous sense of humor; loved to travel, especially through Europe and to the beach; and was a loyal fan of Miami’s sports teams.
He took great pride in his family and the life he and his wife were able to build for them. The true center of Jose’s universe, however, was his granddaughters, Olivia and Evelyn. As an exceptional and doting grandfather, or “Tata” as they called him, he was at his happiest in their company.
His legacy of generosity and his commitment to his family remain his most enduring achievements.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ana Yanez; his son, Danny Yanez; his daughter, Dania Delamo; their spouses; and his two granddaughters. He also leaves behind a sister, a brother, and many nieces, nephews, and godchildren. He will be remembered by his family and friends as a singular character whose presence provided a foundation for them all.
A Catholic Mass will be held in his honor, with the date and time to be determined.
