Justin David Devine, a generous, kind-hearted, and loving son, brother, and father, passed away on May 5, 2026, at the age of 33. Born on August 15, 1992, in Lakeland, Florida, Justin brought warmth, laughter, and a gentle spirit to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered most for his great hugs, his radiant smile, and a soft heart that never stopped caring for others.

From a young age, Justin’s life was defined by deep loyalty to those he loved and simple joys that made each day meaningful. He had a lifelong passion for cars and could often be found talking about engines, projects, and dream vehicles with an enthusiasm that was contagious. He loved the peace of kayaking, gliding across the water and taking in the quiet beauty around him. At home, gaming gave him a way to relax, connect, and share in friendly competition. Yet, above all of his interests, nothing captured his heart more than time spent with his son. Justin often said, “The only thing I ever wanted to be was a father,” and in that role he found his greatest pride and fulfillment.

Family was the center of Justin’s world. He is lovingly survived by his cherished son, Wilder Vernon Devine, who was the light of his life and the inspiration behind his every hope for the future. He also leaves behind his father, David Devine, and stepmother, Mary Devine, who stood by him with unwavering love and support. Justin’s memory will be carried forward by his brothers, Terry Jensen, Michael Devine, and Tommy Chambers, and his sisters, Brandi Ueberroth and Samantha Devine. Together they share countless memories of Justin’s kindness, humor, and the way he made every gathering warmer just by being there.

Those who knew Justin will remember him for his gentle soul and the care he extended freely to others, whether through a listening ear, a reassuring embrace, or a few simple words of encouragement. One of his favorite sayings was, “Life’s a garden, you got to dig it,” a reminder to find meaning, work at what matters, and cherish each day. In honoring Justin’s memory, his family and friends take comfort in knowing that his love, his smile, and his soft heart will live on in the lives he touched, especially in his beloved son, Wilder.
