Kathleen “Kay” M. Livermore, a loving, resilient, and genuinely kind soul, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026, at the age of 94. Born on February 7, 1932, in Newfoundland, Canada, Kay carried the warmth and strength of her upbringing throughout a long life devoted to faith, family, and quiet acts of generosity.

From an early age, Kay was known for her open heart and easy laugh. A devoted Catholic, her faith was a steady compass that guided how she treated others—with patience, compassion, and an unwavering willingness to help. She loved to tell stories and jokes, filling rooms with laughter and making everyone around her feel at ease and truly seen.

Kay’s hands were rarely still. She was an avid knitter, creating countless sweaters, blankets, hats, and mittens for those she loved. Each stitch was an expression of her care, a tangible way of wrapping her family in warmth even when she could not be with them. Her generosity extended far beyond her own home: she lovingly knit hats and mittens to donate to local churches and schools, quietly ensuring that strangers would feel comforted and protected during the cold months.

For Kay, her greatest achievement was always her family. She cherished every moment spent with them, especially treasured weekends filled with stories, jokes, and the small, everyday rituals that become the backbone of a family’s memory. She was a steadfast source of support and encouragement, a best friend to those closest to her, and someone who could be counted on in times both joyful and difficult.

Kathleen is survived by her daughters Linda, Zoeann, Cindy, and Lana; her beloved granddaughter Sarah and Sarah’s spouse Mike; and her adored great-grandchildren Sasha, Elijah, and Marissa. She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters and her many nieces and nephews, all of whom felt her deep and enduring affection. At home, she shared her days with her cherished cat, Mittens, who was a constant and comforting companion.

Those who were fortunate enough to know Kay will remember her as an amazing person—genuine, generous, and endlessly supportive. Her legacy lives on in the values she instilled, the warmth she shared, and the love she poured into every relationship and every handmade gift.

Her family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who loved and cared about and for Kathleen. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit, her laughter, and her unwavering love will remain forever in the hearts of those she touched.
