Kenneth Harold Johnson, 53, passed away on June 11, 2026. He was born on May 8, 1973, in Enid, Oklahoma. Known for his nurturing spirit, passionate heart, and dependable nature, Kenneth lived a life defined by devotion to his family and the traditions he worked so hard to build and sustain.

A gifted athlete in his youth, Kenneth was recognized as 20th in Spalding’s Top 100 high school basketball players for the state of Texas—an achievement that reflected both his talent and his determination. His love of basketball remained with him throughout his life, alongside his deep interests in technology, film and television, music, and exploring new foods as a true foodie. He had a remarkable eye for design and was often the one bringing thoughtful detail and creativity into any space or gathering. A veteran, Kenneth carried himself with quiet strength and commitment, qualities that shaped both his work ethic and his relationships.

Above all, Kenneth was a family man. Marrying the love of his life and later becoming a grandparent were milestones he cherished deeply. He was happiest when surrounded by his family, hosting gatherings that kept everyone connected and close. His enduring love and the traditions he instilled will continue to shape family celebrations for years to come. As a boy, one of his favorite memories was going to see Star Wars with his father—an experience he spoke of often, remembering the excitement and wonder of that day. He also shared his home and heart with his beloved dog, Max.

Kenneth often encouraged those he loved with words that reflected his resilient spirit. The family wishes to share one of his favorite passages, which he returned to again and again:

It ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take and keep moving forward; That’s how winning is done! I don’t call you son ‘cause you’re mine, I call you son ‘cause you shine.

Through his strength, his example, and his unwavering devotion to family, Kenneth leaves behind a legacy of perseverance, love, and togetherness that will not be forgotten.
