Laura German Buhain
With profound sadness and love, we announce the passing of Laura German Buhain, who entered eternal rest on August 5, 2026, in Orlando, Florida, following a courageous year-long battle with cancer. She was 47 years old.
Born on April 1, 1979, in Rochester, New York, Laura was the beloved daughter of Dr. Deborah C. German and the late Dr. Lawrence Davis German. As the first-born grandchild, she brought joy to her family. She was soon joined by her sister, Julia, with whom she shared a happy childhood.
Fate introduced her to the love of her life, Dylan John Buhain, and she shared a special bond with Dylan’s siblings—Julie Buhain, Jocelyn Buhain, and Joseph Buhain became an important part of her life. Laura and Dylan welcomed Patrick Buhain, the first-born son and grandson into the family.
Although our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in knowing that Laura is no longer in pain. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
A Celebration of Life to honor Laura will be held at a future date. Her family looks forward to gathering with all who knew and loved her to celebrate the beautiful life she lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Laura’s honor to the Innovation Middle School PTSA, an organization that reflects her passion for supporting children, education, and her school community.
