Laurel Marie Kassay
With hearts full of love, we remember Laurel Marie Kassay, a joyful, caring, and loving woman whose warmth touched the lives of everyone who entered her home. Laurel passed away on April 30, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and a heart that welcomed all.
Laurel found joy in the simple pleasures—cooking, family gatherings, boating, fishing, ceramics, and gardening. But above all, she found her greatest pride in raising three strong children and being the heart of her family. She was lovingly known as “the mother everyone called mom”, and she made sure every child who came into her home felt like family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Arnold Kassay; her children, Melody Kassay (husband David Stanier), Brenda Kassay, and Arnold Kassay Jr. (wife Chrissy Kassay); her brother Millard Lepley (wife Terri Lepley); and her grandchildren, Dakota Kassay, Zane Provost, Tanner Provost, Alyssa Stanier, and Ava Kassay.
She is also remembered for her bond with her cat, Cali—a feisty companion who, despite her rough edges, always curled up with Laurel at night and received treats and affection from her.
Laurel was known for her big heart, and for saying, “Family sticks together. Be happy.” She truly lived by those words, creating a home filled with love, loyalty, and laughter.
The family wishes to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers.
