Linda Cruz
Linda Cruz, ambitious, loving, and outgoing, passed away on February 27, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on November 2, 1956, in the Bronx, New York, Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose generous spirit and steadfast determination touched everyone she met. She was most known for her unforgettable food and the way she could turn any gathering into a celebration. A fighter who never gave up, Linda lived with a full heart, a ready smile, and a warmth that made others feel seen, welcomed, and cared for.
From her earliest days in the Bronx, Linda found joy in the simple, sustaining gifts of life—good meals, good music, and the satisfaction of working hard for the people she loved. Her kitchen was the heartbeat of her home, a place where recipes turned into stories and plates became expressions of love. Friends and family will remember the comfort of her cooking, the soundtrack of music playing softly in the background, and the ease of laughter that followed her wherever she went. She poured herself into her work and cherished the work friends who became part of her extended family. Though she never slowed down for herself, Linda’s signature wisdom to those she loved was to “slow down and not work too hard—the joys in life are meant to be lived, and we are meant to be present in them.” With Linda, there was never a dull moment—only countless, cherished ones.
Linda’s proudest achievements were her children and grandchildren, whose lives brought her immeasurable joy. She is survived by her beloved husband, Alex; her children, Alex, Angelica, William, and Luis; and her four beautiful granddaughters, Angelique, Analize, Olivia, and Victoria. She is also remembered by many cherished work friends and extended family who felt the depth of her loyalty and love. At home, her faithful chihuahua, Cookie, was a constant companion, sharing quiet moments and everyday comforts.
As we hold Linda in our hearts, we honor her by gathering around a table, turning up the music, sharing stories, and being present with one another—just as she taught us. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to all of our family who stayed by our side through this tough time physically and emotionally. May her legacy of love, perseverance, and generosity continue to guide us, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
