Lonnie Ray Kinney

With love and remembrance, we reflect on the life of Lonnie Ray Kinney, who passed away on June 10, 2025, at the age of 53. Born on August 31, 1971, in Joliet, Illinois, Lonnie was cherished by his family and friends for his loyalty, strength, and heart.

Lonnie was the beloved son of Olive Clark and the late Charles Kinney. He is survived by his brother, Curtis Kinney, of Port Charlotte, Florida; his sister, Kandy Kempiak, of Elburn, Illinois; his brother, Nathan Kinney, of Enterprise, Alabama; and his son, Christopher Charles Kinney, of Arizona. He was loved dearly by many cousins, nieces, and nephews, whose lives he touched with kindness and care.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to ShorePoint Health Port Charlotte for their dedication and efforts to care for Lonnie throughout his illness. Their compassion and commitment will never be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Lonnie’s memory may be made to the Salvation Army in Port Charlotte, Florida, a cause close to the family's heart.

Lonnie will be missed by all who knew him, and remembered for the love he gave and the strength he showed throughout his life.
