Louis Bradford Yates
Louis Bradford Yates, 78, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, died on May 30, 2026. He was born on August 3, 1947 where his lifelong commitment to family, faith, and learning first began to take shape.
Brad was known as an intelligent, faithful, and loving man whose life was grounded in devotion to God and to those he held close. His passion for religion and his deep knowledge of the Bible were central to who he was; if he could be remembered for one thing, it would be his love for the Lord and his understanding of Scripture. He was highly educated and built a successful physical therapy business, an accomplishment that reflected both his discipline and his desire to help others live fuller, healthier lives. Whether in his professional work or in conversation, Brad carried himself with thoughtfulness and conviction.
Family meant everything to Brad. He treasured Jean, his family, and his friends, and he spoke often of the importance of keeping those relationships strong. His church community and his time at Old Line Statesmen Barber Shop were also meaningful parts of his life, offering fellowship and connection. At home, he found comfort in simple joys, including time spent with their yorkie-poo, Abbie, who brought him companionship and happiness.
Brad will be remembered for the steady example he set: a man guided by faith, devoted to his family, and committed to living with purpose. Those who knew him carry forward the lessons he shared through both word and action. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations in his memory be made to Tidewell Hospice in Venice, Florida, where Brad and Jean were active volunteers, or to the Epilepsy Foundation, honoring causes that were meaningful to them. His legacy lives on in the faith he practiced, the knowledge he shared, and the love he gave so freely.
My love and gratefulness to all family and friends who Brad loved so much. Thank you for all your help during this difficult time. Much Love, Jean
A service will be held at Hilltop Assembly of God 30 N Cranberry Rd, Westminster, MD 21157 July 13, 2026 11AM
