Lucia Santiago Arroyo, a much-loved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on August 27, 2026, just after celebrating her 90th birthday. Born on August 24, 1936, in the vibrant town of Ponce, Puerto Rico, Lucia was a beloved daughter of God and a cherished member of Iglesia de Dios Nueva Vida in Ruskin.
Known for her kindness and generosity, Lucia's life was a testament to the values she held dear. Her devotion to her faith and her family was unwavering, and she often found solace and strength in the words of Psalm 23. Her home was always open to her large and loving family, bringing joy and warmth to every gathering.
Lucia's life was enriched by the presence of her daughter, Melba; her grandsons, Juan and José; her granddaughters, Limaris and Alida; her great-granddaughter, Kamila; and her great-grandsons, Dariel and José Raúl. They were the light of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them and her fur granddaughter, Isabella.
As the family reflects on Lucia's life, her spirit and teachings continue to resonate in their hearts. The family wishes to express that she is "Always in our hearts," acknowledging the profound legacy of love and faith she leaves behind.
