Marian Christian Carson
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marian Christian Carson on March 1, 2026. Marian was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee and was the daughter of the late Ross Marion and Mary Kay (Jackson) Christian.
Marian graduated from the University of New Orleans and lived for many years in New Orleans and Atlanta before settling in Florida. She spent much of her career working for Coca Cola in accounting management. Marian traveled extensively and loved to visit new places and experience the local culture, people, foods, and traditions. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and crafting, but most of all she relished spending time with her loving family and her cherished pets.
Marian carried through life an easy Southern grace and a bright, steady humor that endeared her to everyone she met. Intelligent, selfless, compassionate, and devoted, she had a way of making others feel truly seen, always meeting life’s challenges and joys with perspective and poise. If Marian could be remembered for one thing, it would be the loving relationships she cultivated across her lifetime.
She is survived by her beloved husband William, dear son Patrick, daughter-in-law Nicole, granddaughter Ryleigh Sue; and her brother Daniel. She is also survived by her large extended family and many very special friends.
Funeral arrangements are pending. In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Marian’s compassion in caring for others, memorial contributions may be made to Metropolitan Ministries of Tampa.
