Marisol Gallagher

Marisol “Marie” Gallagher, 62, of Punta Gorda, Florida, formerly of New Jersey, passed away peacefully after a courageous 12-year battle with ovarian cancer. Born June 30, 1963, in Cayey, Puerto Rico, Marie lived most of her life in New Jersey before moving to Florida three years ago to continue her fight with the same grace and determination that defined her entire life.

Marie is survived by her devoted husband, William “Billy” Gallagher, and their beloved daughter, Bridget Gallagher. She is also lovingly remembered by her brothers and sisters, along with a large and caring family whose unwavering support carried her through her journey.

For more than 40 years, Marie dedicated her heart and skills as a registered nurse in New Jersey, touching countless lives with compassion, care, and strength. Outside of her work, she found joy in fishing alongside Billy, in expressing her creativity through painting and crocheting, and in cherishing time with her family.

Marie’s life will be celebrated in the place she loved most — among family and friends. A celebration of life will be held at Breezes Dock Bar and Grill in New Gretna, NJ, on October 4th, 2025 at 2pm.

Her spirit will be remembered not only for her bravery but for the love, laughter, and warmth she shared with all who knew her.
