Mary Kaye Rider, born on July 8, 1946, in Indianapolis, passed away on August 9, 2026. Known for her vibrant smile and infectious laughter, Mary approached life with an adventurous spirit and a heart full of happiness.
Mary’s passion for travel took her to all seven continents, fulfilling her dream of exploring the world. An enthusiast of both traveling and crafts, she could find joy in creating, whether it was through her many journeys or her artistic endeavors. Her adventurous nature was matched only by her optimism. When diagnosed with MS, she humorously assured her doctor that as long as she could travel, nothing would hold her back, even if it meant being pushed in a wheelchair.
The most important people in Mary’s life were her husband and their three sons, who were constant sources of love and joy. She cherished every moment spent with them, embracing family life with the same zest as her travels. Though she had no pets, her home was filled with laughter and warmth.
Remembered as a happy person who could see the best in life, Mary left a legacy of kindness and courage. Her family fondly recalls her love of life and her ability to laugh at almost anything. Her spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her.
Mary Kaye Rider will be greatly missed, and she will be loved forever by her family.
