Michelle Corbett

Michelle Corbett, 58, of Rockville Centre, passed away on August 3, 2026. Born on January 31, 1968, Michelle lived a life defined by kindness, love, and selflessness—qualities that shaped the way she cared for others and the way she will be remembered.

Michelle worked in the medical field for decades, dedicating herself to helping and supporting those in need. Of all her accomplishments, she was most proud of having four healthy children and later becoming a grandmother—milestones that meant more to her than anything else. She loved the beach, listening to music, singing (badly, as she would happily admit), and settling in to binge a good television show, especially crime documentaries and favorites like True Blood. She was known for her contagious laugh, beautiful smile, quirky sense of humor, and never ending generosity. Michelle was the least judgmental person you could meet. She genuinely celebrated others’ successes, big or small, and had a gift for making people feel seen, supported, and cheered on.

Her children were the center of her world: her daughter Nicolette (“Peanut”), her son Andrew (“Frofree”), her son Gage (“Ponkey”), and the son and grandson she did not have the chance to meet in this lifetime, Chad and Dean, whom she loved beyond words. She shared a powerful bond with her sister Jennifer; they went through everything together and remained close friends to the very end. Michelle was the kind of mother who would blow-dry your hair while you stayed in bed for a few extra minutes of sleep, who would sit up all night cooling a washcloth to ease your fever, and who would listen without judgment because she truly understood. She filled her home with laughter—doing the “mole” with her kids until everyone could not breathe from laughing, breaking into dorky dances, and being unapologetically herself. Her playful greetings and catchphrases—“Waka Wee Ew,” “How you dudin,” and an enthusiastic “Yoooooo”—became part of her family’s everyday language.

The family also wishes to share words that were meaningful to Michelle: The Serenity Prayer: Grant me the serenity to accept what cannot be changed, the courage to change what can be, and the wisdom to understand the difference. Michelle will be remembered above all for her unconditional love and never ending compassion, a legacy that lives on in the hearts of her children and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
