Rene will be remembered as gregarious, witty, and stubborn – qualities that defined his spirit and endeared him to those around him. He had a passion for simple joys like playing dominoes and golf, and he found purpose in volunteering with the Tampa Zoo, giving back to the community he cared about.
Throughout his career with the postal service, Rene built deep friendships with his colleagues, spending countless hours socializing and sharing laughs. His bonds extended beyond work, as he remained close with his cousins and cherished those relationships deeply.
A man of both wisdom and humor, Rene often reminded his family to “save ten percent of their earnings,” a lesson he lived by and encouraged others to follow. He was known for his generosity, his storytelling, and his ability to bring people together.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Moffitt McKinley Hospital for their compassion and dedication in caring for Rene.
Rene’s memory will live on in the stories, laughter, and love he shared. He leaves behind a legacy of resilience, community, and family bonds that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
