Rex Revere Schreckenghaust
With love and gratitude, we remember the life of Rex Revere Schreckenghaust, who passed away on April 29, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on January 23, 1941, in Custer, South Dakota, Rex was known for being intelligent, outgoing, and above all, someone who deeply loved his family and friends.
Rex had a passion for car racing, driving, and conversation—he never met a stranger and could light up a room with his insight, quick wit, and energy. Throughout his life, he found success as a paratransit business owner and dairy farm operator, careers that reflected both his industrious spirit and his heart for service.
He was a proud member of the Venice Nazarene Church, and those who knew him best knew him to be honest and definitive, always direct and grounded in what he believed.
Family and friends were the center of Rex’s world. His life was rich with relationships, and he cherished both the people and the pets who brought him joy.
A celebration of Rex’s life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Affinity Hospice and Pastor Rod from Venice Nazarene Church for their care, compassion, and spiritual support during this time.
Rex will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his sharp mind, generous heart, and the unmistakable presence he brought to every room. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched.
