Robert Avery Griffith

Robert Avery Griffith, known affectionately as Bob, passed away on August 5, 2026. Born in Orlando, Florida on April 9, 1955, Bob was renowned for his generous spirit and deep love for his family and friends. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he was admired for his kindness and understanding nature.

Bob's greatest passions were traveling the world, fishing, and cooking, pursuits that he embraced with enthusiasm. He was an awesome cook, known for his culinary creations that delighted those around him. His career as an aluminum contractor spanned 40 years, during which he took great pride in his work, operating his own construction company with a commitment to excellence and perfectionism.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Nancy Jo, with whom he shared 47 cherished years of marriage. Their life together was marked by love from the very first meeting at ages 19 and 23, respectively. Bob was a dedicated family man, blessed with four children: Brandon (married to Dawn), Jason, Jared (married to Chelsea), and Bridget. He was also the proud grandfather, or “poppy,” to ten grandchildren: Hayden, Lincoln, Dominic, Everett, Blake, Owen, Ira, Carter, Addison and Izzy ranging in age from 1 to 15. He is survived by his siblings Mary Isaacson, Jacquie Griffith, and Sarah Prospt, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The family plans to hold a celebration of life, with details to be determined. They would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered support and assistance during this time of loss. Bob's legacy of love and craftsmanship will be cherished forever by all who knew him.
