Robert (Bob) Allen Callaway

Robert (Bob) Allen Callaway, a beloved father, grandfather, uncle, significant other, and friend, passed away on April 25, 2025, at the age of 62. Bob was born in Ravenna, Ohio, on October 6, 1962. He was the epitome of hard work, dedication, and love.

Bob most recently worked as a CNC machinist in Sarasota, Florida. Over the years, he also worked as a mechanic, store manager, and auto body technician. He was an avid fan of drag racing, fishing, golf, football, baseball, and hockey. In his younger years, Bob spent much of his time building, fixing, and racing cars. He especially enjoyed visiting Norwalk Raceway to watch top-fuel dragsters and stroll through the pits, admiring all the cars.

He had many passions—restoring boats, baking, computer programming, building hot rods, sewing, and cheering on Cleveland and Tampa sports teams. Although he lived for 22,847 days, he truly lived as if every day counted for a million.

Bob is survived by his children, Scott Olah and Samantha Olah; his grandchildren, Colton Olah, Olivia Javorich, and Jaxson Olah; his sister, Kathy McCurdy; brothers, Kenny Callaway and Michael Callaway; his stepfather, Ron Johnson; his significant other, Tracy Caiazzo; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, stepchildren, step-grandchildren, and friends.

Just three days after Bob’s passing, his mother, Shirley Johnson, also passed away. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Callaway; his brother, Bert Callaway; and his sisters, Colleen Callaway and Vicky Roose.

Bob’s love, generosity, and passion will live on in all those who knew him. Though he has crossed the finish line of his final race, his spirit will live on in every roar of a dragster and in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
