Robert (Bob) Edwin Koenig
Robert (Bob) Edwin Koenig, born on April 29, 1947, in Belleville, Illinois, passed away on August 15, 2026. Bob's journey took him to Port Charlotte, Florida, in 1962, where he would leave a lasting impact on his community through hard work, humor, and unwavering reliability.
Bob was a man of many talents and passions. Known for his wit and generosity, he was as comfortable with a fishing rod in hand as he was in the kitchen preparing seafood he loved. His greatest professional achievement was owning and operating B&K Plumbing for over 40 years, where his commitment to quality and customer care set a benchmark for others in the field.
His warmth extended beyond his business as he sponsored children to attend camp, demonstrating his belief in community and providing opportunities for young people. He was a man who cherished family, profoundly influenced by his mother, Armella, and his brother, Mike. Bob's loyal dog, Mac, was his constant companion, embodying the deep friendships he cultivated in his life.
Survived by his brother Tom Koenig, sister Nancy Koenig, nephew Clay Koenig, and niece Sarah Koenig, Bob is remembered by those closest to him with fondness for his humor and culinary skills. He was predeceased by his beloved mother Armella Koenig, his father Edwin Koenig, and his brother Mike Koenig.
The family plans to celebrate Bob's life with a gathering when the weather cools off. They wish to express their gratitude to all who shared in Bob's life and supported his endeavors. His legacy of hard work, kindness, and laughter will continue to inspire those who knew him.
