Robert Lee Snively
Robert Lee Snively, Jr., 79, of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, passed away on June 2, 2026. Born on November 26, 1946, in Waynesboro, Robert lived life on his own terms, guided by a deep work ethic and an enduring desire to enjoy each day fully.
Hardworking and independent, Robert was self-employed and carried a strong entrepreneurial spirit throughout his life. He took pride not only in building his own path but also in being a steady provider for his siblings. Those around him learned quickly that he believed in giving your all—he was known for the motto “Work hard, play hard,” and he lived it without compromise. He loved to travel, jog, and spend time scuba diving, always ready for the next adventure. At the end of the day, he was happiest with a simple meal of steak and potatoes, generously topped with Lea & Perrins steak sauce, and a cold beer. He often encouraged others with his familiar words, “One monkey don’t stop no show,” a reminder to keep moving forward no matter the obstacle.
Robert’s siblings and children were the most important people in his life. He led by example, teaching those around him the value of hard work and perseverance. He would challenge others with a grin, saying, “Don’t let this old man outwork you,” a phrase that captured both his competitive spirit and his sense of humor. Above all, he was a man who simply wanted to enjoy life his own way, and he did so unapologetically.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to his son Adrien, who cared for him during the hardest of times. Robert will be remembered as a man of drive, grit, and independence—a human being who worked hard, played hard, and embraced life as he saw fit.
