Roy Thomas French Sr

Roy Thomas French, Sr., 72, of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, at HCA Oak Hill Hospital.

Born on September 25, 1953, in Haverhill, Massachusetts, Roy lived a life defined by kindness, sincerity, and dedication to his family and friends. Those who knew him will remember his quiet nature, gentle humor, and his caring heart — always ready to listen, help, and offer a kind word.

Roy had a lifelong love for anything with wheels. Whether it was bikes, motorcycles, or racing cars, he found freedom and joy in the rumble of an engine and the open road ahead. But beyond his passion for machines, Roy was always happiest when surrounded by those he loved.

He was a hard worker at the lumberyard, never complaining about the long days and the toll it took on his body. This defined who he was as a person — helping others readily and willing to give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He showed his love through a quiet, dependable presence.

Some of the fondest memories shared by his family are of snowmobiling in the winter together in New Hampshire, exploring the White Mountains in the summer or simply having a cookout and toasting marshmallows around a fire pit with his favorite pooch by his side — moments filled with laughter, fresh air, and togetherness. Those simple times meant the world to him, and they continue to live on in the hearts of those who shared them.

He is survived by his loving sister Karen, his cherished nieces, nephews, and grandchildren, and many extended family members who adored him. He was preceded in death by his son Roy Jr. and his brother Richard, with whom he shared a lifelong bond.

Roy will be remembered as a man of quiet strength, deep kindness, and unwavering love for family. His memory will continue to bring comfort and smiles to all who were lucky enough to know him.
