Sally graduated from Hoosick Falls HS in Hoosick Falls NY. She went to college in Albany NY and graduated with a degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. She embraced her career and worked in the field for at least 5 decades. She went from test tubes, microscopes and Bunsen burners to setting up and running auto analyzers. She was a department head for chemistry, blood bank, and bacteriology through her career and mentored many young technologists.

Sally’s 96 years spanned the scope of geography and history. She lived in Lincoln, Nebraska during the Great Depression, the toll house on Whiteface Mountain in Lake Placid and Virginia during WWII. She saw the birth of commercial aviation, a man go to the moon, the computer age, the iPhone and decades of music that changed from big band, crooners, bebop, rock and roll and many more. Her residences changed but it was mostly New York, New Jersey and Florida. Her home of the heart was the family home in White Creek NY.

Sally was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution in good standing.  She was an accomplished artist and crafter. Her watercolors and projects adorn many homes. She loved traveling to visit family, and you could always count on a game of scrabble or a game of cards. Sally was an avid reader and until a few weeks ago was knocking out a book a week.

We want to acknowledge the loving compassionate care given to our mother by our sister Jen. Her dedication was selfless and heartfelt. Thank you, Jen.
