Susan Marie Curley, 61, was born in Monroe, Michigan, on September 24, 1964, and passed away in Bradenton, Florida, on May 9, 2026. Susan passed under hospice care with her daughter Rebecca by her side playing Susan’s favorite Christian music. Those who knew her will remember a woman whose kindness, compassion, and gentle spirit left a lasting impression wherever she went. Susan loved her Christian faith and was never scared of going home to the Lord.

In Michigan, Susan grew into someone who put people first. She was the kind of person who listened without judgment, helped without being asked, and offered comfort simply by being present. Her quiet strength and unwavering support were a constant source of stability for those around her. She found meaning in the everyday moments—conversations at the kitchen table, shared laughter, and being there in times of need.

Susan’s greatest joy was her family. She poured her love into each generation, creating a sense of belonging that will endure long after her passing. She is survived by her sister, Melody (Robert) Rincon; her brothers, Pete “Bubs” (Christine) Curley and Rick Curley; her four children, Rebecca Curley, Jessica Curley, Mattia Page, and her son JuJuan (Makayla) Rincon. Susan was also the proud grandmother of fourteen grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who were cherished more like additional sons and daughters than extended family. Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Curley and Joan Curley, both of Michigan.

Beyond her immediate family, Susan treasured the friendships that enriched her life. Among them were her dear friends Margaret and Bruce Chadwick of Michigan, who held a special place in her heart and shared many meaningful moments with her over the years. To all who knew her, Susan was most known for her big heart—an unfailing generosity of spirit that welcomed others in and made them feel seen, valued, and loved.

In remembering Susan, her family and friends take comfort in the legacy of love she leaves behind. Her memory will live on in the stories shared, the lessons of kindness she modeled, and the deep, enduring bonds she nurtured. Though she will be deeply missed, the imprint of her big heart remains, guiding those who loved her to carry that same compassion forward in their own lives.

Clearview Cremation of Sarasota, Florida, is honored to assist with Susan’s arrangements on behalf of her family.
