Thomas Edward Woodall
Thomas Edward Woodall, 78, passed away on May 21, 2026. Born on February 16, 1948, in Sumner County, Tennessee, Thomas lived a life shaped by steady hands, a quick wit, and a deep appreciation for the open road.
Thomas was known first and foremost as a skilled carpenter. He took pride in his craft, building and repairing with care, patience, and an eye for detail that reflected both talent and dedication. In the kitchen, he was just as accomplished. A great cook, he found joy in preparing meals and bringing people together around the table. Whether working with wood or cooking for those he loved, Thomas believed in doing things well and doing them wholeheartedly.
He had a restless spirit when it came to travel, happiest when “traveling the roads” and taking in the journey as much as the destination. Along the way, he was known for playing jokes and keeping those around him on their toes. His sense of humor was a defining part of who he was, and it brought lightness to everyday moments.
The most important people in Thomas’s life were his wife, Shirley; his boss and friend, Brain; his brothers David, Chuck, Donald, and Gary; and his sisters Betty, Anne, and Wanda. He valued these relationships deeply and carried them with him through every season of life. Those who knew him will remember a man who worked hard, laughed easily, and left his mark through both his craftsmanship and his character. As his family shared, he left them memories to share—stories, laughter, and moments that will continue to be told for years to come.
