Timothy John Blanchard
Timothy John Blanchard, tender-hearted son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on May 8, 2026, at Dr. Phillips Hospital, at the age of 64. Born on April 14, 1962, at Homestead Air Force Base in Florida, Tim’s life was defined by kindness, humor, and a deep devotion to the people he loved.
From an early age, Tim was known for his gentle spirit and his natural ability to connect with others. He never met a stranger—only friends he hadn’t yet had the chance to talk to. Whether in a checkout line, at a community gathering, or on one of his many Bingo nights, Tim delighted in striking up conversations and sharing stories that often began with his signature phrase, “Back in the day…”
A tender-hearted and helpful soul, Tim’s greatest joy was his family. He was especially proud of his children and grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them. His grandson and granddaughter were the light of his later years, and he relished any opportunity to be part of their lives. Family get-togethers were among his happiest times, filled with laughter, teasing, and the familiar comfort of being surrounded by those he loved most.
Tim was also known for his love of Bingo, playing as often as he could and bringing his characteristic humor to every game. Friends and family could always count on him for a joke, a late arrival, and a story or two. True to form, he was almost always running late, and somehow that became one of the endearing qualities everyone came to expect—and love—about him.
He will be lovingly remembered by his son, TJ of St. Cloud; his daughters, Sara of Orlando and Alysia of Alabama; and his grandchildren, Tyler of St. Cloud and Everlee of Alabama. He is also survived by his sister, Anna Parker (Steven); his brother, Tom (Michelle); three nephews, two nieces, many dear friends, and his best friend of over 50 years, Todd, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories and steadfast friendship.
In daily life, Tim could often be seen riding his scooter, politely declining offers of a ride. That independence, mixed with his determination to keep going, reflected his quiet strength. Even in his hardest times, he strove to be the best version of himself for the people he loved, and that courage will remain one of his most lasting legacies.
Tim’s family takes comfort in knowing that his kindness, humor, and unwavering willingness to help others will continue to live on in the stories shared and the lives he touched. Though plans for a memorial or celebration of life are still being considered, his family invites all who knew him to remember him in their own way—with a story, a smile, or perhaps a Bingo card and a fond “Back in the day…”
The family would like to thank all of the friends and relatives who have reached out with love and support during this difficult time. They also extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Dr. Phillips Hospital for all they tried to do for him.
